N8 The Baltic Sea Route

Part of the Baltic Sea, Route EuroVelo 10. Starting at the ferry harbour in Tårs on Lolland and through three old market towns to Falster's east coast. A scenic cycle tour through diverse landscapes with beach and water.

All the way across Lolland-Falster

After passing the abbey and cathedral town of Maribo and Nature Park Maribo Lakes, continue towards the east, your next stop is in the market town of Sakskøbing.

Just outside of Sakskøbing we arrive at Krenkerup Manor and Brewery. Quench your thirst before continuing to Nykøbing, or have a stop in the Middle Ages at the Medieval Centre in Sundby.

The active commercial centre of Nykøbing has several activities and accommodation options on offer. From here, the tour heads south along Guldborg Sund strait until we once again turn east to Marielyst and the 20 km long swimming beach stretching from north to south.

Route 8 continues northward along Falster's east coast with large forests at the water's edge and ends in Stubbekøbing where the vintage ferry Ida transports cyclists to Bogø and Møn.

The total route in Denmark is 820 km long; the parts on Lolland-Falster makes up 168 km of that.
