Guldborgsund Nature Area

The Guldborgsund Nature Area follows the narrow strait called Guldborg Sund, which is the waters dividing Lolland and Falster; from the Baltic Sea in the east to the fairway Smålandsfarvandet in the west.

The heart of Lolland-Falster

The area offers rich, diverse landscapes that you can enjoy by foot, on bicycle or by kayak; wide tidal meadows, woods and forests and cultivated areas.

Moreover, the strait and the surrounding islands, many of them bird sanctuaries, are great places for bird watching, as large flocks of birds use these areas as their breeding territories.
